Suspects of attempting on Sulim Yamadaev refuse to plead guilty
The persons, suspected of a conspiracy on premeditated murder of Hero of Russia Sulim Yamadaev, ex-commander of the "Vostok" special GRU battalion, have rejected the presented charges.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported earlier that the consideration of the criminal case on the attempt on Sulim Yamadaev was to start today in the United Arab Emirates.
The "Echo Moskvy" Radio reports that the prisoners' dock houses an Iranian Makhdi Lorniya, former Ramzan Kadyrov's personal horseman, and a Tadjik businessman Makhsujohn Ismatov, detained by the Dubai police in April.
The police suspect them of assisting the gunman to get the arms and disappear from the scene of the crime. "Lorniya participated in tracing the victim from the moment of his arrival in the international airport of Dubai and up to the house of the casualty," the "Reuters" quotes the indictment announced by a Dubai court employee.
"Then he found out the victim's address, reported it to the killers; kept the arms and then gave the arms to the killers," the employee has added. As to Ismatov, according to the source, his role was to help to shadow Yamadaev.
The "Gulfnews" writes that Lorniya and Ismatov assert that they have nothing to do with the attempt.
The next court session will take place on October 5, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
Seven more person were to face the trial on Sulim Yamadaev's case: Adam Delimkhanov, the nearest associate and a close relative of Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov, deputy of the Russian State Duma from the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party; Zelimkhan Mazaev; Ramzan Musiev; brothers Turpal, Marvan and Salman Kimaev; and Elimpasha Khatsuev (detained a couple of months ago in Moscow on charges of murdering another member of the Yamadaev family - Ruslan, former deputy of the State Duma and also Hero of Russia). The Dubai police finds them also involved in the crime and announced them into international search.
