ICPO: organizer of attempt on Ingush President hides in the Caucasus

Alexander Tikhomirov, also known as Said Buryatskiy, the supposed organizer of the failed attempt on President of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov, and another accomplice named Magomed Tsokiev have been announced into federal search, as reported by Vladimir Markin, official spokesman of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of the Russian Federation.

Let us note here that on October 13, at a sitting of the National Antiterrorist Committee, its chairman, director of the FSB (Federal Security Bureau) Alexander Bortnikov said that the organizers of the attempt on President of Ingushetia are dead, and the crime as such was solved.

According to Mr Markin, the investigation has information that Tikhomirov and Tsokiev are in one of illegal armed formations (IAFs), acting in the territory of the North-Caucasian region. "Both suspects have been declared into federal search," the "Interfax" Agency quotes Mr Markin as saying.

He has also noted that members of an IAF Abdul-Malik Aliev and Aslan Batygov (killed during a counterterrorist operation on June 24) and Rashid Dzortov, also known as Abdul Aziz, and Usman Uzhakhov (killed in the end of this August) were also involved in the attempt on President of Ingushetia committed on June 22.

Besides, as reported by the ITAR-TASS with reference to the Public Prosecutor of Ingushetia, in the course of investigating the criminal case on the attempt on Evkurov, certain Maskhud Chibiev was found and detained under charges of complicity in blowing up the ROVD building of Nazran and Nazran District, where 25 persons were lost and about 250 wounded.
