President attacker's car was stuffed with 200 kilos of plastic explosive and hexogen

In Grozny, sapper units of the MIA and other law-enforcement departments have completed an operation of neutralizing a car stuffed with explosive, in which a terrorist-suicide bomber tried to make a terror act against President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov and deputy of Russian State Duma Adam Delimkhanov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today in Grozny employees of law enforcement bodies have prevented a terror act against Kadyrov and Delimkhanov. As reported by Roman Edilov, deputy minister of internal affairs of the republic, a VAZ-21014 car tried to rush at high speed into the territory of the constructed memorial complex, where a meeting of President of Chechnya and State Duma deputy was scheduled. According to his story, law enforcers noticed a metal container inside the car and made warning shots; then, they opened direct fire and killed the driver.

The "Interfax" reports that because a huge residential district and numerous shops are located nearby, a decision was made to tow off the car outside the city and blow it up in the clay quarry.

"The car contained a tank with about 200 kilos of plastic explosive and hexogen, and an explosion within the city could lead to numerous victims," said Mr Edilov.
