Special operation conducted in Dagestan, suspected militant killed

A suspected member of illegal armed units has been killed in Kizliar district of Dagestan, report the republic's law enforcement agencies.

"Last  night, law enforcement officers blocked a militant in a summer house of the village of Lesnaya Poliana. Upon the demand to lay down arms and surrender, he let out two women from the house and rendered armed resistance to militiamen. As a result of shooting, the militant was killed", relayed the source.

The identity of the killed person has been established. According to the law enforcement agencies, it is Gusein Gaidakov. His complicity in terrorist crimes is being investigated, reports "Interfax". One militiaman has been wounded in the course of the combat operation, reports RIA "Novosti".
