Organizers of races in Kentucky and New York remove Kadyrov's horse from competition

In the United States, the organizers of the horse races, traditionally held in the states of Kentucky and New York, have removed the horse named "Sweet Ducky", owned by the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, from the competitions.

The registration commission of the races held in Kentucky (USA) has announced their intention to revise the license granted to Ramzan Kadyrov on participation of his horses in the races, after they received a letter from the US State Department about human rights violations in Chechnya.

Then, the race organizers invited the head of Chechnya for an interview on admission of his horse to races, but Kadyrov left the invitation unanswered; therefore, the horse was withdrawn from races, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to The New York Times.

Alvi Karimov, the press secretary of the Chechen leader, has noted that most likely the license issue was just a pretext to exclude an excellent horse from racing, the ITAR-TASS reports.

Kadyrov's horses are competing and winning races in Russia and abroad. In March this year, his horse was among the winners of the Dubai World Cup and earned 200,000 US dollars; another one was the winner of the prestigious race in Singapore, where the prize fund was 3 million US dollars. The Kadyrov's horse named "Bronze Cannon" was the second in equestrian competitions for the Betfred Cup, held at the Kenton racetrack in England on September 3.
