In Ingushetia, in the first quarter of 2012, 16 people fell victim to armed conflict
In January, February and March 2012, in the territory of Ingushetia, at least 16 people fell victim to the ongoing North-Caucasian armed conflict, including nine casualties and seven wounded persons. These are the results of calculations, made by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.
The death toll includes one civilian, a law enforcer and seven persons involved, according to law enforcement bodies, in the armed underground.
The list of those wounded includes three civilians and four law enforcers.
In 2011, according to estimates of the "Caucasian Knot", at least 108 people fell victim to the armed conflict in Ingushetia; of them, there were 70 casualties and 38 wounded persons.
The total number of victims in 2011 was more than three times lower than in 2010, when at least 326 persons fell victim to the armed conflict in Ingushetia.
