In Karachay-Cherkessia, in the second quarter of 2012, six persons fell victim to armed conflict
In April, May and June 2012, in the territory of Karachay-Cherkessia, at least six people suffered from the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus; of them four persons died and two wounded. These are the results of calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", based on its own materials and information from open sources.
The death toll includes two power agents and two persons involved, according to law enforcement bodies, in the armed underground. Two law enforcers were wounded.
In June, the republic had two victims of the armed conflict - both perished. In April, there were 4 victims: two casualties and two wounded persons. In May, nobody was hurt.
One should understand that the above statistics cannot reflect with absolute accuracy the number of victims in each of the identified categories of the survey. Not all the data gets into news reports. It is not always possible to verify the reliability of statements made by law enforcement bodies.
During the first quarter of 2012, according to calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", the republic had no victims of the armed conflict.
In 2011, there were 34 victims: 22 persons were killed and 12 more were wounded.
