In Chechnya, in the second quarter of 2012, 24 persons fell victim to the armed conflict

In April, May and June 2012, in the territory of the Chechen Republic, at least 24 persons suffered from the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus; of them 15 persons died and 9 more were wounded. These are the results of calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", based on its own materials and information from open sources.

The death toll includes four power agents and 11 persons involved, according to law enforcement bodies, in the armed underground.

The list of wounded persons includes five power agents and four civilians.

In June, the republic had eight victims of the armed conflict - four casualties and four wounded persons. In May, there were 10 victims - six casualties and four wounded persons. In April, there were six victims, including five casualties and one wounded person.

One should understand that the above statistics cannot reflect with absolute accuracy the number of victims in each of the identified categories of the survey. Not all the data gets into news reports. It is not always possible to verify the reliability of statements made by law enforcement bodies.

In the first quarter of 2012, according to calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", Chechnya had 78 victims of the armed conflict - 36 persons were killed and at least 42 persons were wounded.

In 2011, in Chechnya, at least 201 persons fell victim to the armed conflict; of them, at least 95 persons were killed and 106 more were wounded.
