Olga Noskovets, "EcoWatch" activist, released from Sochi police

On Tuesday, Olga Noskovets, an activist of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" (EcoWatch) and a member of the City Council of the "Yabloko" Party, was set free from the police division of the micro-district of Blinovo in Sochi.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that policemen detained Olga on Monday on the border together with Vitaly Vasiliev, who was driving his car.

Some time after their detention, an employee of the Sochi police station, where Olga and Vitaly were taken, said that he would not draw up a protocol, but "there can be claims to the driver." He failed to specify the nature of these "claims".

On February 17, in Sochi, they also detained an activist David Khakim – for a solo picket in support of the convicted "EcoWatch" activist Evgeny Vitishko. Upon detention, the court awarded him with 30 hours of correctional labour.
