Object looking like bomb found near police station in Stavropol

Experts found an object looking like a bomb in Stavropol, at the entrance to the police station located near the Upper Marketplace. Dog handlers seized it and sent for examination.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today at about 5:00 p.m. a message arrived that a bomb was found in central Stavropol. People from the nearby marketplace buildings were evacuated; and the street was closed for traffic.

A handler's dog lay down near the object placed at a wheel of the parked Daewoo car, showing that he had found an explosive. An arrived explosion expert took away an object looking like a smartphone and sent it for examination. The cordons were removed, said the "Vesti" referring to a law enforcement source of Stavropol.

Earlier it was reported that today the building of the railway station in Volgograd was also cordoned off by power agents, because of an anonymous message about an explosive device. No bomb was found; and the station was reopened after inspection. Besides, according to eyewitnesses, the staff and passengers were evacuated today from the main buildings of the bus and railway stations in Rostov-on-Don. So far, this information was not confirmed by the police.
