Militant killed in Makhachkala was wanted on suspicion of committing double terror act
The suspected militant Ruslan Darsamov, killed on December 9, was involved in organizing a double terror act near the Dagestani service of court marshals and in Dakhadaev Street in Makhachkala, as well as in the murders of a judge of the republic's Supreme Court and the owner of a fuelling station, investigators assert.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 9, in Makhachkala, at the intersection of Shamil and Akushinsky Avenues, a man rendered armed resistance to law enforcers and was killed by return fire. The casualty was pre-identified as Ruslan Darsamov, also known as "Usman".
According to the investigators, Darsamov was wanted for a series of especially grave crimes, Rasul Temirbekov, Senior Assistant to the Head of the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
In particular, he was involved in the murders of Djanai Shaikhov, the owner of the filling station, his nephew Jambulat Mudjaidov in Makhachkala on July 20, 2013, as well as in the murder of the 14-year-old Shaikhov's son in the village of Tarki, said Temirbekov, adding that "besides, Darsamov, according to investigators, was suspected of involvement in the double terror act: near the building of the Department of the Federal Service of Court Marshals in Dagestan and the killing of Magomed Magomedov, a judge of the Supreme Court of Dagestan in January 2013."
According to investigators, Darsamov was also involved in several attacks on lives of policemen and explosions in the territory of Makhachkala, including a double explosion in Dakhadaev Street, where one person died and 17 were wounded.
