Advocate of Yuri Vazagashvili demands removal of investigators in his son's death case
Gigi Mosiashvili, the defender of the deceased Yuri Vazagashvili, has moved a demand to replace the investigators in the case of the earlier killed Zurab Vazagashvili.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 21, 2015, Yuri Vazagashvili perished in an explosion that occurred at the grave of his son Zurab Vazagashvili killed in the special operation carried out in 2006. According to the preliminary information, the explosion occurred when Yuri Vazagashvili was changing flowers on the grave of his son in the village of Karapila of the Kaspi District of Georgia. Mamuka Chikovani, an advocate of the Vazagashvili family, didn’t rule out that the explosion could be connected with the investigation into the death of Zurab Vazagashvili.
According to Gigi Mosiashvili, the demand to remove the investigators, conducting the inquiry into the death of Yuri Vazagashvili’s son, was the desire of Yuri Vazagashvili himself.
"It will be very important to take into account the Yuri's approach and advice to the prosecutor's office – to remove the persons who are directly or indirectly related to the fact of the murder of Zurab Vazagashvili," the "News-Georgia" quotes Gigi Mosiashvili as saying.
The lawyer also said that in the case of the death of Yuri Vazagashvili, now, witnesses are interrogated, while forensic experts are studying the exhibits taken from the crime scene. Yuri Vazagashvili's car is at examination, said Mosiashvili.
Relatives of the deceased Yuri Vazagashvili, not trusting the official investigators, have hired an independent expert Zaza Altunashvili, who reported on January 22 that the explosive device that was planted by unknown criminals at the tomb of Zurab Vazagashvili, was not homemade but of factory production, the "Echo of the Caucasus" reports.
