Law enforcers detain man suspected of attack on Budyonnovsk
In the Istra District of the Moscow Region, FSB agents have detained a Russian citizen, suspected of involvement in the grouping led by Shamil Basaev and, according to the secret services, involved in the attack on Budyonnovsk in 1995.
On June 14, 1995, a group of militants from Chechnya led by Shamil Basaev attacked civilians and organizations in Budyonnovsk and captured the central hospital of the city. As a result, the terror act killed 129 people. On June 19, 1995, the terrorists released the rest of the people after the talks. The Russian government agreed to cease combat actions in Chechnya and withdraw armed forces, and the militants were allowed to return to Chechnya.
"On October 5, 2015, in the Istra District of the Moscow Region, Russian FSB agents identified and detained B. B. Daudov, a Russian citizen, born on September 06, 1972, involved in the attacks on Budyonnovsk in 1995 as a member of the criminal grouping led by Shamil Basaev," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the FSB press centre as reporting.
