Number of victims of AZS explosion in Kizlyar is at least 26

A fire was the cause of the explosion at the filling station (known as AZS), located in Tumanyan Street, near the railway station in Kizlyar.

According to preliminary data, first, one of the filled cars caught fire at the station; then, the fire spread to the tanks with fuel and triggered the explosion.

The information about the number of victims of the explosion at the filling station in Kizlyar is contradictory. Two hospitalized victims were reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent at the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) of Dagestan. Emergency services give from 4 to 6 victims, who required the inpatient medical care.

"29 people have turned for help to hospital; six of them were hospitalized. Their condition is assessed as of moderate gravity; one of them suffered a stroke, when he saw what happens at the filling station," a hospital source told the "Interfax".

Meanwhile, the emergency services of the region have reported about 26 victims and four hospitalized patients.
