District policeman killed by explosion in Tabasaran District
The 33-year-old Police Major Gasan Mutalibov, who worked as a district policeman, was killed by a car explosion triggered in the Tabasaran District of Dagestan, the "Chernovik" (Draft) weekly reports. The explosion, according to the "Interfax", occurred near the checkpoint.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a police car was blown up today in the vicinity of the village of Sirtich, Tabasaran District. One policeman was killed, and another one wounded. According to some sources, the policemen were chasing a car from the Suleiman-Stalsky District; and when they caught up with the suspects, an explosion occurred. According to other reports, the explosion was triggered en route of the cars.
The perished law enforcer was a district policeman, the "Chernovik" writes, citing its unnamed source.
"His name was Gasan; he was the father of three children," said the source.
According to his version, the number of casualties of the explosion may be more.
The explosion occurred in a VAZ-2110 car not far from the checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Sirtich in the Tabasaran District, the "Interfax" reports referring to its law enforcement source.
According to this source, the car drove up to the checkpoint, stopped and went off.
