Ramzan Kadyrov's nephew appointed head of secretariat of Chechen leader

Idris Cherkhigov, the 27-year-old head of the administration of the Kurchaloi District, has been transferred to the post of the head of the secretariat of the leader of Chechnya. By taking his new post, Idris Cherkhigov has replaced another nephew of Ramzan Kadyrov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in September, 2014, 25-year-old Idris Cherkhigov became the head of the Kurchaloi District. Prior to that, the nephew of the Chechen leader worked as the deputy head of the Ramzan Kadyrov's administration, the deputy chairman of the Chechen government-the Minister of Property and Land Relations, and the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Chechnya.

The Idris Cherkhigov's post in the district administration was taken by Aslambek Aidamirov, the Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities, reports the press service of the Chechen leader.

Idris Cherkhigov is a son of Zargan Kadyrova, a sister of Ramzan Kadyrov. Ramzan Cherkhigov, the father of Idris Cherkhigov, holds the post of the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Chechnya.

The experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" see no violation of the norms of the Russian laws, since the laws do not regulate the working relationship between an uncle and a nephew.

According to Alexei Malashenko, a member of the Scientific Council of the Moscow Carnegie Centre, the Kadyrov's personnel policy is aimed at strengthening the position of his family and ensuring the power of his clan.
