Power agents report killing three militants in Makhachkala

Today, one of the entrances to the settlement of Leninkent in the outskirt of Makhachkala was blocked by armoured vehicles. According to law enforcement sources, here, power agents began targeted check in search of militants and their helpers. In the course of the operation they blocked a house with suspected militants inside.

"To law enforcers' legal demands to lay down arms and surrender, those in the house opened fire. Power agents began storming the house," a law enforcement source told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"The active phase of the special operation is over – three militants are liquidated," a local law enforcement source told the "Interfax".

However, information appears about suspension of the active phase of the special operation with the onset of the night time. "The active phase of the special operation is suspended due to the onset of night-time; the assault of the house is postponed till tomorrow," said another law enforcement source from Dagestan. He noted that the exact number of militants hiding in the house is not known yet; the information is being specified, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
