Ingush Security Council refutes theft of militant's body from morgue

Relatives of all the residents of Ingushetia, killed during a counterterrorist operation (CTO) on May 26 have received their bodies from the morgue, the republic's Security Council has stated.

Let us remind you that the CTO regime was introduced in the city of Nazran and in the Nazran District of Ingushetia May 26. According to law enforcement sources, five militants were killed in Nazran and Malgobek, three others were detained. In the evening on May 26, the CTO regime was lifted in Nazran. Today, media have reported about an attack of unidentified persons on the morgue in Nazran with the aim to take away the body of one of the militants.

The Security Council has refuted the information about the theft of the body from the morgue, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

"After the necessary investigative actions, the bodies of all the five casualties were given out to relatives for burial. Nobody has taken the body of one of them from the morgue by force; moreover, stolen it," said the spokesman of the Security Council, commenting on the mass brawl in the morgue at an attempt to pick up the body of one of the militants.

According to his version, relatives of one of the casualties had a resolution on taking the body for burial, with which they appeared at the morgue in Nazran. However, they had a small scuffle with the guards. In the end, after completing all the procedural issues, the body was taken away by relatives for burial.
