Relatives of Rashidov and Ramazanov find witnesses of their kidnapping in Dagestan

Ramazan Rashidov and Shamil Ramazanov, who disappeared on June 16 and 17, were kidnapped by men in uniform. This was reported by relatives of the disappeared men. They managed to get a video record and find witnesses who saw how the men registered at the police station were detained, the "Chernovik" (Draft) reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 16 and 17, 2016, Ramazan Rashidov and his relative Shamil Ramazanov, residents of Kaspiysk, disappeared under unclear circumstances. At 2:30 p.m. of June 16, Shamil Ramazanov, born in 1990, left the store and "said that he would go to the marketplace, and then stopped to answer his mobile phone." At 9:15 a.m. of June 17, Ramazan Rashidov left Kaspiysk in his black BMW car for Makhachkala to reach his job place at the "Bosch" electric tools shop. Meanwhile, he never arrived to his work.

One of the video records posted on the website of the "Chernovik", shows how a man (this is Shamil Ramazanov, according to his relatives), who is passing by shops from marketplace Irchi Kazak to the Eastern marketplace in Makhachkala, is approached by several persons, including men in uniform. The man is knocked down on the ground, beaten, handcuffed, and forced into a white foreign-made car. The video record also shows how the men in uniform who took part in the detention of the man enter a couple of other cars.

According to the witnesses, Ramazan Rashidov was detained by men in masks from a Land Cruiser crossover on the ring next to the monument to Nasrutdinov in the residential neighbourhood Reduktorny in Makhachkala. A lot of people witnessed the event of that day, and some of them shot the incident on video, a sister of Ramazan Rashidov says.

The relatives of the kidnapped men believe that those kidnappings involved law enforcers, since during less than a year, both men are registered at the police station. However, at the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan, the family members of the both men were told that no detention took place, the "Chernovik" reports.
