Resident of Pankisi Gorge killed in Syria

Umar Margoshvili, a citizen of Georgia, who was involved in the hostilities on the side of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) (banned in Russia), was killed in Syria.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that according to the report of the Security Service of Georgia, published on March 29, about 50 Georgian citizens are involved in the combat actions in Syria and Iraq.

According to residents of the Pankisi Gorge, Umar Margoshvili, a citizen of Georgia, was killed in Syria. He left for Syria in 2015, the "InterPressNews" reports.

It should be noted that, according to the residents of the Pankisi Gorge, the problem of departure of local young people for Syria have already been solved; however, the Pankisi Gorge still has a reputation of a "terrorist region."
