"Novaya Gazeta": men involved in attack on Ella Kesaeva visit her at home

Ella Kesaeva, the leader of the organization "Voice of Beslan", intends to file a complaint to top-ranking officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for North Ossetia about the visit of a group of policemen and participants of the attack on the journalists in Beslan, who demanded from the woman to come out of the house.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 3, in Beslan, a group of young people attacked Ella Kesaeva, the leader of the organization "Voice of Beslan", Elena Kostyuchenko, a reporter of the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta", and journalist Diana Khachatryan, a staff member of the edition "Takie Dela". The attackers poured the women with green paint, seized their mobile phones and fled in front of the police. A man suspected of involvement in the attack was detained on the same day and fined.

On September 14, about 15 people in police uniforms and civilian clothes arrived in three cars to the house of Ella Kesaeva. The policemen failed to produce their IDs or report the purpose of their visit. They categorically demanded that Ella Kesaeva was to come out of the house to them. A relative of Ella Kesaeva has informed the visitors that she was not at home and closed the door in front of them, the "Novaya Gazeta" reports.

According to the newspaper, the number of the people, who came to the house of Ella Kesaeva, also included the men dressed in civilian clothes who attacked mothers in Beslan on September 3. Besides, the relative of Ella Kesaeva was able to identify one of the law enforcers, who signed the protocols of detention of the women involved in the protest action of September 1.

The "Novaya Gazeta" also reports that in recent days, the female activists of the "Voice of Beslan" are under surveillance, and the people who are trying to provide legal assistance to members of the "Voice of Beslan" receive SMS-messages with threats.

In connection with the visit of unidentified people and interference with her private life, Ella Kesaeva intends to appeal to the MIA's own security service and top-ranking officials of the North-Ossetian MIA with a request to carry out an inspection and take actions to protect the female activists of the "Voice of Beslan", the "Novaya Gazeta" reports.
