Experts instructed to identify Dagestani casualties

So far, the three suspected militants, killed in the Tabasaran District of Dagestan, have not been identified. To do so, a genetic examination was appointed, said a law enforcement source.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 24, three armed men were killed in a shootout with power agents in the Tabasaran District of Dagestan. Law enforcers were shelled, when they tried to stop a Lada Kalina car for inspection," said the source, adding that the shootout broke out near the village of Chulat, Tabasaran District.

"One of the bullets pierced the fuel tank of the car with three persons inside; as a result, the car caught fire and burnt down completely. Nobody could get out of it," the Dagestani law enforcement source told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, adding that "the bodies of the casualties were severely damaged; therefore, a genetic examination was appointed to identify them."
