Georgian CEC has completed pre-tabulation of final protocols

After pre-processing of the final protocols received from the precinct election commissions (PECs), the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia has announced that the ruling party "Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia" has won 856,762 votes, which makes 48.65% of all the votes; the "United National Movement" (UNM) has won 477,596 votes – 27.14%; and the bloc "David Tarkhan-Mouravi, Irma Inashvili – Alliance of Georgian Patriots, United Opposition" – 88,109 votes – 5%.

The "Free Democrats" Party gained 4.62% of all the votes; the bloc "Nino Burjanadze-Democratic Movement" – 3.53%; the bloc "Paata Burchuladze-State for People" – 3.45%; the Labour Party – 3.13%; and the Republican Party – 1.55%.

The other parties managed to win less than one percent of the votes each.

Thus, the Georgian Parliament of the new convocation will consist of MPs, belonging to the "Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia" and the UNM Parties, and the bloc "David Tarkhan-Mouravi, Irma Inashvili-Alliance of Georgian Patriots, United Opposition".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 8 Georgia elected its MPs. Six electoral blocs and 19 parties took part in the race; and at least 300 violations were fixed by NGO observers.
