Armenian NGOs "In the Name of the Law" demands resignation of PACE head

The Armenian nongovernmental organization (NGO) "In the Name of the Law" is going to hold a protest action in front of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) office in Yerevan and demand from Pedro Agramunt, the head of the PACE, to resign, because of disrespect for the Armenian delegation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Italy, Luca Volonte, the former head of the faction of the European People's Party in the PACE, is charged with receiving 2.39 million euros from the accounts of the "Baktelekom" Company for supporting Azerbaijani state officials.

At the October 10-14 PACE session, the speeches of Armenian delegates Nair Zograbyan and Nair Karapetyan were interrupted. Their microphones were switched off, after they accused Luca Volonte of receiving bribes from Azerbaijan, the RIA "Novosti" reports.

Pedro Agramunt has violated the "right to the members of the Armenian delegation to the freedom of expression," members of the NGO "In the Name of the Law" believe.
