In Quarter 3 of 2016, Chechnya had no victims of armed conflict

In July-September of 2016, in Chechnya, there were no victims of the armed conflict in the North Caucasus. These are the findings of the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

In Quarter 1 of 2016, in Chechnya, one person fell victim to the armed clash between law enforcers and militants – a civilian died.

In Quarter 2 of 2016, at least 14 people fell victims to the armed conflict in Chechnya; among them 3 persons were killed and 11 were wounded: there were one killed and 7 wounded law enforcers, 2 killed and 2 wounded alleged militants and 2 wounded civilians.

The above statistics cannot reflect with absolute accuracy the real number of victims. Not all the data gets into news reports. It is not always possible to verify the truthfulness of law enforcers' statements; and sometimes new data about the events of the reporting period become known after the publication of statistics by the "Caucasian Knot".
