Nesterovskoe residents demand from Kotiev's relatives to leave the village
Residents of the Ingush village of Nesterovskoe have held a rally and stated that the members of the family of Rizvan Kotiev, a suspect of killing the journalist Amerkhan Kokurkhoev, must change their residence in order to avoid conflicts. This was reported by an official of the administration.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Amir Kokurkhoev, the press secretary of the administration of the Sunzha District in Ingushetia and the programme presenter at the Ingush television, was stabbed on January 1 and died in hospital. According to investigators, the murder was committed as domestic violence; and Kokurkhoev neighbour, Rizvan Kotiev, was the main suspect. On January 5, policemen detained Ruslan Djamaldinov, the father of Rizvan Kotiev. During interrogation, the father confessed that it was he, who fatally stabbed the journalist.
"The village of Nesterovskoe has hosted a rally with the participation of elders, the clergy and local authorities, during which it was decided to recommend the family members of the 26-year-old Rizvan Kotiev, who had fatally stabbed his neighbour, a well-known journalist Amerkhan Kokurkhoev, to leave the village," said an employee of the local municipal administration.
According to his story, the tradition to evict people, who have committed defaming acts, out of villages exists in Ingushetia from ancient times. Such measures have been applied not only as punishment, but also to prevent new conflicts.
