Saveliev family has gas supply disconnected

Gas workers have removed the gate, penetrated into the yard and disconnected the cottage in the village for Olympic settlers, which is occupied, since February 2015, by the Saveliev family, from the gas supply.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in December 2011, the Saveliev family of five people, including two children, was evicted from their barrack, which was then demolished in the course of building the Olympic highway. The Savelievs moved into a cottage in the village for Olympic settlers, but the authorities demanded from them to move out from there.

According to Lyudmila Savelieva, the cottage was cut off the gas supply this morning. Earlier, the family asked the gas company to issue a bill for paying for gas, but it refused to do it.

Other family members, Natalia Savelieva and Alexei Saveliev, have noted that "the disconnection of the gas that warms up the cottage may cause health problems in children."

Meanwhile, the cottage, into which the Savelievs had moved, was put by the Sochi Mayoralty for sale, but has not found the buyer yet.

In his turn, Andrei Malafeev, the head of the LLC "Neftogaz", said that the Savelievs "had failed to present the documents on their right to occupy the cottage they live in."

However, Mikhail Okhrimenko, a lawyer of the Krasnodar Territorial Bar Association, believes that gas workers "had no right to enter the fenced area without a court warrant."
