Yunus-Bek Evkurov announces arrests of six policemen in case of Magomed Daliev's death

Six staff members of the Centre for Combating Extremism (CCE) of the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) are arrested in the case on the death of Magomed Daliev during interrogation and on torture of his wife. This was reported by Yunus-Bek Evkurov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in July 2016, 50-year-old Magomed Daliev, suspected of robbing the branch of the "Rosselkhozbank" in the city of Sunzha, died during interrogation. His wife Marem Tochieva complained that she had been beaten by law enforcers and tortured. The death of Magomed Daliev got great public response, and Ingush leader Yunus-Bek Evkurov asked the MIA's District Department to send a special commission to the republic to investigate the incident.

Yunus-Bek Evkurov has reported that six staff members of the CCE of the Ingush MIA are arrested in the case on the death of Magomed Daliev and torture of his wife. "Six persons are detained, arrested and are under investigation," the agency "TASS" quotes Yunus-Bek Evkurov as reporting today.

Meanwhile, the Ingush leader has also noted that the Ingush law enforcement agencies "put on the international wanted list the main suspect involved in the robbery of the 'Rosselkhozbank' branch committed last summer." "The man suspected of involvement in the bank robbery in Sunzha is hiding in Poland. He has been put on the international wanted list," said Yunus-Bek Evkurov.
