Power agents fail to confirm escape of two militants after attack in Chechnya

The information that two attackers on the military unit of the “Natsgvardia” (Russian National Guard) committed in the Naursky District has not been confirmed yet, said a republic's law enforcement source. The situation in the district has calmed down; there are no restrictions on travelling, local residents report.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on March 24, an attack was made on the checkpoint of the 140th artillery regiment of the 46th operative brigade of the “Natsgvardia”, stationed in the village of Naurskaya. As a result of the attack, six servicemen were killed and three others were wounded; six attackers were also killed. There was also information that two attackers managed to escape.

"The data that two possible attackers on the military unit of the ‘Rosgvardia’ in the centre of the Naursky District March 24 managed to escape has not been confirmed yet. Currently, law enforcement bodies continue their operative actions aimed at establishing the possible organizers of the attack and militants’ helpers," a source from republic’s law enforcement bodies told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
