Dadaev tells court about torture after detention
Zaur Dadaev told the court that he had been physically abused by law enforcers for two days after his detention. The court also read out the testimony of Rustam Yusupov, who was detained together with Dadaev.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 18 the court began questioning Dadaev, who stated that in the autumn of 2014 he did not go to Moscow, where during this period a car was bought, in which, according to investigators, the defendants travelled. Dadaev also said that on the day of Nemtsov’s murder he was at home.
"People in masks arrived and dragged me away somewhere," Dadaev said today, adding that he was detained on March 5, 2015, in Ingushetia, after which he was tortured. "They tortured me for two days; I ate like a dog, chained to a heating radiator," said Dadaev.
On April 1, 2015, Dadaev rejected his initial testimonies, saying that he had given them under torture.
