Investigators report psycho deviations in suspect of killing military in Gyumri

The suspect of killing a Russian serviceman in Armenia has mental disorders and was demobilized in March, said the Investigating Committee of Armenia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the body of a serviceman Dmitry Yalpaev with signs of violent death was found today near the Russian military base in Gyumri. A 20-year-old man was detained on suspicion of committing the murder.

According to investigators, the suspect had been found "partially sane and unfit for military service in peacetime" after he injured himself several times during his service in November 2016. After the examination, he was transferred to the psychiatric ward of the Yerevan Military Hospital, and was demobilized this March.
