Makhachkala City Mayoralty refuses to sanction rally for June 12

Marat Ismailov, an organizer of the anticorruption rally in Makhachkala, who has earlier challenged the refusal to sanction the action, intends to hold the event without the sanction of the city administration. The court has obliged the City Mayoralty to sanction the rally; however, the city authorities have still refused to issue a sanction for the action, notes Marat Ismailov.

In Makhachkala, the rally against corruption is planned to be held in Rhodope Boulevard.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Marat Ismailov that the city administration of Makhachkala has dismissed the notification for holding the event under the pretext that the site in Rhodope Boulevard "is not a place for holding rallies."

Marat Ismailov has appeal to the court against the refusal of the City Mayoralty to sanction the rally, and the court recognized the refusal as illegitimate.

"Judge Mikhrab Adziev of the Soviet District Court of Makhachkala has obliged the city administration to sanction the rally. Today, I have got an answer from the city administration, in which they indicate that they did not receive the Court's decision and therefore they cannot issue a sanction for the rally," reported Marat Ismailov.

"All that is done deliberately to disrupt our action. Those actions are illegitimate, since the Court's decision has already entered into force," emphasized the organizer of the anticorruption rally.

Marat Ismailov has added that on June 12, the rally against corruption will be held in Makhachkala on the basis of the Court's decision.
