Five US tourists disappear in Georgian mountains

Georgian rescuers are looking for a group of tourists from the USA in the high-altitude region of Khevsureti.

According to the rescue service, five US tourists went amiss there after a deterioration of weather conditions.

The tourists contacted rescuers in the evening of July 6 and asked for help; then, the connection with them was lost. The "Rustavi-2" TV Channels reports that their problems arose after the water level in the Argun River went up.

A rescue operation is underway in the region, the "Tbilisi Week" informs.
