Russian border guard found dead in Armenia
The dead body of the head of the frontier post was found in the Syunik Region of Armenia. According to preliminary data, the death was caused by myocardial infarction, said Sona Truzyan, an adviser to the head of the Investigating Committee of Armenia.
The information about the death of the 27-year-old servicemen of the Frontier Department of the Russian Federal Security Bureau (FSB) in the city of Agarak, Syunik Region of Armenia, on the border with Iran, was released on July 13.
No traces of violence have been found yet, Ms Truzyan said. A forensic medical examination has been appointed to define the exact cause of death.
The deceased person was the head of the frontier outpost "Karchevan", the "NEWS.am" reports with reference to the Investigating Committee of Armenia.
Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" reported about incidents at the Russian military base in the Armenian city of Gyumri. Thus, in April, the body of a military was found near the base. A local resident was detained on suspicion of the murder.
