ECtHR obliges Russia to pay 6000 euros to Tamerlan Eskerkhanov

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has found grounded the complaint filed by Tamerlan Eskerkhanov about the conditions of detention in the SIZO (pre-trial prison) during the investigation into the politician Boris Nemtsov's murder.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in December 2016, it became known that the ECtHR communicated the Tamerlan Eskerkhanov's complaint about the conditions of detention in the SIZO and transportation in conditions not meeting the requirements of Article 3 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, as well as about the long period for the consideration of the complaint by the court.

The court ordered Russia within three months to pay 6000 euros to Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, reports the European Court's website.
