Relatives report about adaptation of a child returned from Iraq to Chechnya
A four-year-old boy, taken by his father from Chechnya and returned two years later, gets used to the new situation. This was reported by his relatives. Several other Chechen children still stay in a Baghdad orphanage, reported an official from the Chechen authorities.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 2, Ramzan Kadyrov announced the return to Chechnya of a boy who was taken to Syria by his father and found among ruins in the Iraqi city of Mosul. At present, the boy lives with his mother in the Grozny District.
"When he was brought home, he hardly recognized anyone, even his mother. He even did not go to the women's hands, and he preferred men wearing beards. It is likely because of the circumstances in which he stayed in recent years. He does not even know how to play with toys. At first, he was too shut, but now he is gradually getting more sociable. We cannot even imagine how much he had to experience," said a female relative of the boy's mother.
The woman has also noted that the child speaks Chechen and Arabic.
The mother and father of the boy got acquainted and married in Moscow and then moved to Chechnya. However, then the boy's father divorced his mother, said a friend of the family.
According to him, one of the reasons for the divorce could be the woman's refusal to leave with her husband for Syria.
It was very difficult to return the child from Iraq, reported an official from the administration of the Chechen leader and government.
According to him, the father of the child will be brought to court in Iraq as a terrorist, and he faces at least 20 years of imprisonment or more.
