NAC confirms death of leader for Khunzakh militant grouping in Dagestan

In Dagestan, the leader of the Khunzakh grouping of militants was killed as a result of the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime. This was reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) for Dagestan.

On August 13, a CTO legal regime was introduced in the village of Orota in the Khunzakh District. One person was killed during an armed clash in the village of Orota. Sources from the law enforcement agencies reported that it was Khadjimurad Gadjiev, the leader of the Khunzakh grouping of militants.

The CTO legal regime in the village of Orota will be valid until a special order, the "Interfax" reports with reference to a source from the NAC.
