Nine Chechen natives detained in Austria
Detained natives of Chechnya are accused of creating a criminal organization, fraud, arson, extortion, and illegal trafficking in weapons and drugs. The police began to suspect them after the detention of Caucasian natives in February. This was reported by the Austrian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that 22 immigrants from Chechnya were detained in Vienna on February 3. According to the Austrian media, the detainees were checked for involvement in terrorist activities. Later, it has been reported that they are suspected of involvement in criminal groupings. 20 people were released on recognizance not to leave, and two others were left under arrest.
Today, Wolfgang Sobotka, Austrian Minister of Internal Affairs, has reported that nine natives of Chechnya were detained in Vienna and Lower Austria. During a search, a lot of weapons and narcotic substances were found at their places.
