NAC: Valid Motsaev killed in CTO in Dagestan

In Dagestan, Valid Motsaev, a leader of a militant grouping, was killed in the course of the special operation carried out in the Khasavyurt District. This was reported by the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC). In 2016, the law enforcement agencies promised to pay three million roubles for the information about Valid Motsaev, the leader of the Khasavyurt militants.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, a suspected militant and a civilian have been killed in the course of the counterterrorist operation (CTO) in the Khasavyurt District, and a policeman has been wounded.

According to the NAC, the killed suspect was identified as "Valid Motsaev, wanted by the law enforcement agencies, who led criminal actions in the north of Dagestan."

"The neutralized leader of the criminal grouping was involved in organizing and committing crimes of a terrorist nature, attempts on the lives of law enforcers, as well as extortion of large amounts of money from entrepreneurs," the NAC's website reports.

Earlier, the law enforcement agencies have reported that Valid Motsaev (Abu-Dudjana) was the leader of the Khasavyurt militants: in 2015, he was appointed Amir of the Khasavyurt sector of the Dagestani armed underground.

According to the law enforcement agencies, Valid Motsaev had organized the murder of Imam Magomed Khidirov in the village of Novy Kurush of the Khasavyurt District.
