Reports on terror threats in Nalchik prove to be false

Law enforcers failed to find any explosive devices in the shopping centres, from which residents of Nalchik were evacuated on September 20.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 20, visitors of six shopping and entertainment centre in Nalchik were evacuated after anonymous phone calls about threats of terror acts.

The information about mined buildings in Nalchik proved to be false, a law enforcement source of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has reported.

Let us note here that yesterday also in Vladikavkaz visitors of shopping centres and hotel lodgers were evacuated. Reports about explosive devices have not been confirmed. The day before, on September 19, people were evacuated from shopping centres and other buildings in Krasnodar, Volgograd, Astrakhan and Rostov-on-Don. Law enforcers checked the reports about building mining and came to the conclusion that all of them were false.

Law enforcers received a lot of similar phone calls in other cities of Russia; they have accused the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) banned in Russia of organizing the campaign of mass provocations.
