In Grozny, Mayoralty and business centres evacuated after bomb threat calls

In the centre of the Chechen capital, people have been evacuated from several buildings because of anonymous calls about bomb threat.

People have been evacuated from the Mayoralty building, the shopping and entertainment centre "Grand Park", a business centre in the Grozny-City complex, and a number of other institutions, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to a source from the emergency services.

According to an employee of one of the offices, the buildings have been inspected by experts from the law enforcement agencies, the "Gazeta.ru" reports.

Let us remind you that since September 11, reports on bomb threats in buildings are received by the police in different cities, including in Southern Russia. On September 11, mass evacuation of people was held in Stavropol, on September 19 in Krasnodar, Volgograd, Astrakhan, and Rostov-on-Don, on September 20 in Vladikavkaz and Nalchik. None of the bomb threat reports was confirmed. On September 14, a source from the law enforcement agencies reported the involvement in false bomb threat calls of the "Islamic State" (IS, the organization is recognized as a terrorist and banned in Russia by a court's decision).
