Law enforcers: bomb threat calls come to Grozny from abroad

On September 25, phone calls with bomb threat reports concerning buildings in the Chechen capital came from the territory of Ukraine, and their author is not yet identified. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by law enforcer.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 25, in Grozny, people were evacuated from several buildings after anonymous calls with bomb threats.

Till present, the person who reported a bomb threat concerning the buildings in Grozny has not been identified. However, it is known that he called from the territory of Ukraine. This has been told today to the "Caucasian Knot" by an official from the Chechen law enforcement agencies.

The "Caucasian Knot" does not yet have any official comments from the law enforcement agencies for Chechnya regarding the information.

It should be noted that on September 22, a source from the law enforcement agencies for Dagestan also suggested that the reports with bomb threats concerning schools in Makhachkala came from the territory of Ukraine. Meanwhile, the source has noted it is the preliminary information.

Let us remind you that since September 11, reports on bomb threats in buildings are received by the police in different cities, including in Southern Russia. On September 11, mass evacuation of people was held in Stavropol, on September 19 in Krasnodar, Volgograd, Astrakhan, and Rostov-on-Don, on September 20 in Vladikavkaz and Nalchik. None of the bomb threat reports was confirmed. On September 14, a source from the law enforcement agencies reported the involvement in false bomb threat calls of the "Islamic State" (IS, the organization is recognized as a terrorist and banned in Russia by a court's decision).
