Moskalkova concerned over detentions for drinking alcoholic drinks in Chechnya
Today, Russia's Ombudsperson Tatiana Moskalkova has requested her Chechen counterpart to check information about detentions of republic's residents for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
The "Caucasian Knot" has informed that relatives of a Chechen resident reported his detention on November 17 for drinking alcoholic drinks. Meanwhile, according to them, the man does not drink alcoholic beverages at all; however, together with several other detainees, he is being kept in a gym of the Khimoi village.
Tatiana Moskalkova has requested Chechen Ombudsman Nurdi Nukhazhiev to check the information about the detention of people for drinking alcoholic beverages, reported an official of the press service for the Russia's Ombudsperson.
"If the information is confirmed, she (Tatiana Moskalkova, noted of the 'Caucasian Knot') is willing to appeal to the General Prosecutor's Office," reported the official of the press service for the Russia's Ombudsperson as quoted today by the "Interfax".
