Suleiman Kerimov pleads not guilty
Suleiman Kerimov, a senator from Dagestan in the Federation Council, detained in Nice on suspicion of non-payment of taxes, pleads not guilty, reported an informed source. It turned out that Suleiman Kerimov stayed in France without his diplomatic passport.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the evening on November 20, Suleiman Kerimov was detained by French policemen in the case of tax evasion, reported an official from the French Prosecutor's Office.
According to the information from a source familiar with the case, Suleiman Kerimov pleads not guilty.
"Suleiman Kerimov has talked to officials from the French Prosecutor's Office. He has refuted all the charges," reported a correspondent of the "Russia 24" (VGTRK, All-Russia State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) TV Channel with reference to his source as quoted by the "Interfax" today.
Suleiman Kerimov entered France without his diplomatic passport, since he was not on a business trip, reports today a source from the Federation Council's office.
