FBI joins investigation into circumstances of special operation in Tbilisi

Four suspected terrorists stayed in Georgia illegally, the Minister of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported. At the request of the Georgian authorities, FBI experts provide assistance to investigators, the US Ambassador announced.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the special operation in Tbilisi was carried out on November 21-22. In the course of the special operation, a special troop's fighter was killed, and four others were wounded. Three suspected terrorists were killed, and another was detained, the Georgian State Security Service reported. According to sources, one of the killed suspects was identified as Guram Gumashvili, a native of the Pankisi Gorge.

Today, the law enforcement agencies have reported that Akhmed Chataev, wanted in Russia and included in the US sanctions list, was killed in the special operation.

Three suspects killed in the special operation and the detained Said Dudaev got to Georgia illegally, reported Giorgi Gakhariya, Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs.
