Law enforcers confirm death of Akhmed Chataev in Tbilisi

Akhmed Chataev, wanted in Russia and included in the sanctions list of the United States, has committed a suicide bombing during a special operation carried out in Tbilisi on November 22, the Georgian State Security Service reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the death of Akhmed Chataev was initially reported by David Makishvili, an ally of former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili.

Residents of the Insan District of Tbilisi reported that the special operation was being carried out against natives of Chechnya.

Today, Nino Giorgobiani, the chief of the press service for the Georgian State Security Service, has reported that Akhmed Chataev was identified among the people killed as a result of the special operation.

According to Nino Giorgobiani, when offered by law enforcers to surrender, the suspected terrorists refused, opened fire from automatic weapons and threw hand grenades, the "InterPressNews" reports.
