Mikhail Saakashvili refuses to testify to Ukrainian prosecutors
Today, the former President of Georgia has come for questioning to the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine. He has announced he agrees to testify only to investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine (known as SBU).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Mikhail Saakashvili is suspected under Part 1 of Article 15, Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 256 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (an attempt of aiding and abetting members of criminal organizations and concealment of their criminal activities by a group of individuals).
Today, Mikhail Saakashvili has arrived in the building of the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, where he was to be questioned. However, he refused to enter the building and take part in the investigating activities.
"I tell you, shut up and listen to my advocate," Mikhail Saakashvili told a prosecutor when asked if he would participate in the investigating activities. The advocate of the politician has explained that the Mikhail Saakashvili's case is under the jurisdiction of the Security Service of Ukraine, the RBC-Ukraine reports.
"When the case is legally transferred to the SBU, I'll come there and testify," announced Mikhail Saakashvili as quoted by the "Interfax-Ukraine".
