A source reports detention of Makhachkala chief architect
Today, sources have reported searches conducted in a house of Magomedrasul Gitinov, the chief architect of Makhachkala, and in the building of the City Architecture Department.
According to an informed source of the "Interfax", secret service agents detained Magomedrasul Gitinov. He is suspected of abuse of power. Meanwhile, the news agency reports it does not yet have any official comments in connection with the information.
The investigating authorities have confirmed the institution of a criminal case against Magomedrasul Gitinov.
According to investigators, in February 2015, Magomedrasul Gitinov made an urban development plan for a land plot in Timiryazev Street with an area of 600 square meters, belonging to a local resident. The plan was developed with violation of the boundaries of the land plot, and later, on the basis of the plan, a permit was issued for construction of a multi-storey residential building.
In February 2017, at a lawsuit filed against the City Mayoralty, the court pronounced the decision to demolish at the expense of the city administration the foundation of a 12-storey multi-apartment building. The demolition of uncompleted structures and garbage disposal will take about four million roubles. Thus, according to the investigators, by his illegal actions, Magomedrasul Gitinov inflicted damage to the city administration for the above amount.
