Mothers of missing Dagestanis demand to meet Vasiliev

Today, mothers of disappeared residents of Kaspiysk, Makhachkala and Khasavyurt went out to a rally in the central square of Makhachkala, demanding a meeting with Vladimir Vasiliev, the acting head of Dagestan, the "Chernovik" (Draft) weekly writes, adding that policemen failed to convince the protesters to leave the square.

The action was also attended by Murtazali Gasanguseinov, the father of Gasanguseinov brothers, the "Novoe Delo" clarifies.

Let us remind you that the brothers Nabi and Gasangusein Gasanguseinov were killed on August 24, 2016. Law enforcers declared them to be militants, who opened automatic fire at policemen. The casualties' fellow villagers demanded to punish those responsible for their murder, asserting that the brothers were shepherds and had no relation to the militants. On November 27, 2017, it became known that the case about the attempt of the Gasanguseinov brothers had been stopped, and a case on their murder was initiated.
