In Chechnya, public employees report crowd organization at polling stations

In Grozny, school employees are instructed to stay at polling stations on March 18 until the completion of the voting, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Petimat, a teacher of the school in Grozny.

On March 18, citizens of Russia will choose the president for the next six years. Seven candidates from different parties and self-nominated Vladimir Putin take part in the presidential election.

"On March 18, all teachers should be at school starting from the morning, we have a polling station at school. And we will have to stay at the place until the voting is over, that is, until 8:00 p.m. [Moscow time]," the teacher reported.

According to her assumption, the presence of a large number of people at the polling station is necessary in order to "simulate a massive inflow of voters in the event of the arrival of observers, TV crews or journalists." "Earlier, we already had similar things done at our place," explained the teacher.

Teacher Zarema from another school, where a polling station will work on March 18, also reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that she had got the same instructions.

"On March 18, all school employees must be at work from morning until late evening. This is to create the impression that there are always a lot of people at the polling station," the teacher said.

According to her, in Grozny, a rally in support of one of the presidential candidates is planned after summing up the preliminary results of the election. "It is clear that we will also have to participate in the action," Zarema specified.
